Program modules (Draft as per 26.7.2017)
The study tour is organized jointly by the Viennese communications agency The Skills Group (www.skills.at), by
the Austrian Federal Press Service and by the independent Austrian journalist’s club “Presseclub Concordia”.
Following meetings and program modules are foreseen for the study tour of Egyptian journalists to Vienna:

• Forum Journalism and Media (journalist education institute)

• Austrian Broadcasting Corporation – ORF (TV Station, newsroom, interviews etc.)

• Guided tour Vienna Town Hall

• Meeting the Mayor and the media department of a village outside of Vienna (Guntramsdorf), with
Farewell evening at a traditional Austrian restaurant

Technical information:

The official study tour program starts every day at appr. 9:00 with departure from the hotel Mercure,
Fleischmarkt, 1010 Vienna, and ends after dinner around 20:00. Food and drinks are provided by the hosts. The
group will be picked-up at the hotel and will be accompanied to all meeting locations. All meetings and
presentations will be held in English language, with Arabic translation available for complicated issues and
emergencies. Saturday, 2.9.2017, morning till 12.30 (departure to airport), is free for shopping, individual
museum visit or other individual arrangements, etc.
A more detailed version and the exact time table will be presented to the participants upon arrival in Vienna.
